I was referred to Coast Physical Therapy for increasing back pain and functional impairment resulting from over stressing my lower back.  As a retired dentist, I was very impressed with Jeanne’s professional manner, the extensive interview and initial examination.  Most importantly, the description of her findings and her proposed treatment plan was informative and reassuring. 

We commenced the treatments necessary to correct the notable atrophy of my thighs and calves (with one leg being 1 ½ inches smaller in diameter).  Progress was slow but steady and noticeable.  After 2 months of bi-weekly pain free therapy, I then had a consultation with an Orthopedic surgeon who showed me the moderate to severe spinal stenosis (canal narrowing) from x-rays and an MRI.  He recommended a surgical laminectomy. 

Fortunately, the relief of symptoms due to Jeanne’s therapy negated the need for surgery.   As of today, I am completely free of the previously degenerating symptoms and have no limitation of function.  The aftercare instructions were well presented, and make it simple to follow the exercises necessary to maintain our results. 

I would strongly encourage anyone to avail themselves of this superb group of therapists.  It has truly been one of the most productive and pleasant experiences in my 70+ years of medical visits.
